There are 372 pigeon holes (mail bins) on each side of the car.
On Saturday, November 23, 2002 newly restored RPO #74 had its inaugural run to Tecate, Mexico. The day began with four successful run-bys in front of the Campo depot where a mail bag was caught "on the fly". Hundreds of visitors enjoyed the first mail bag catch by an RPO car in many years!

We offer souvenir cachets with the Museum logo, an authentic 1950 US Post Office "Casey Jones" stamp with a replica RPO cancellation.  The cachets cost $3.00 each, or two for $5.00.  Proceeds help fund new restoration projects.
