This first annual benefit for PSRMA gives you the opportunity to insure the financial strength of the museum for the upcoming year. The possibility of raising $3000 or more is present in this undertaking. How about getting together a party of friends for 4 enjoyable evenings at the movies? These outstanding films feature "STEAM RAILROADING" as a part of the scenario, plus Comedy. History, Drama and lots of action.

The program will be presented at the Ken Theatre at 4061 Adams Avenue in San Diego, on alternate Thursday evenings as described below:
February 19, "THE GENERAL" Silent film with Buster Keaton and Marion Mack. William Pittenger's Civil War story of Andrew's Raiders' attempt to steal a Confederate locomotive. The most celebrated and active theatre organist, CHAUNCEY HAINES, will enliven the program with his original music.
March 5, "UNION PACIFIC" Barbara Stanwyck and Joel McCrea. Spectacular drama roars westward with the empire builders who conquer mountains and desert, savage red men and ruthless whites, to forge an iron road to the Pacific.
March 19, "THE TRAIN" Burt Lancaster, Paul Scofield and Jeanne Moreau. An epic drama of the French Resistance during World War II. The desperate struggle to save France's looted art treasures from being taken to Germany.
April 2, "THE RETIREMENT OF MR. NAPOLEON" Hisaya Morishige, Norihei Mimi and Mariko Okada. The humorous and poignant story of an aging locomotive engineer nearing retirement because of poor eyesight.
